Rox Radio Group has moved the programming of Texas/Red Dirt Country “Red Dirt 106.1” 1250 KRRD/106.1 K291CK Fayetteville AR to 96.7 KCYT Fayetteville replacing Country “96.7 The Coyote” under new KXRD call letters.
The move follows the pending $300,000 sale of KRRD/K291CK to KTV Media. It is the second format change to come after Rox completed its acquisition of Hog Radio Inc.’s Fayetteville cluster earlier this year as the company flipped Classic Hits “Star 101.5” KFMD Greenland to Hot AC “101.5 My-FM“.
KCYT was ranked third out of the three Mainstream Country outlets in the Fayetteville market with a 2.5 share in the Fall 2020 Nielsen Audio ratings. iHeartMedia’s “Kix 104” 103.9 KKIX tied for the overall market lead with an 8.1 share. Cumulus Media’s “94.3 Nash Icon” KAMO was tied for eighth overall with a 4.7 share. KRRD registered a 0.3 share.
