Audacy has announced the promotion of Peter Rothfuss to SVP/Market Manager for its Gainesville/Ocala cluster including the two University of Florida owned stations that it manages sales for.
Rothfuss has served as General Sales Manager for the Gainesville/Ocala cluster since 2016. He previously spent two stints with the company in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as Director of Sales from 2010-2013 and Integrated Marketing Specialist from 2014-2016. Rothfuss has also held sales management roles with Townsquare Media, Saber Communications, Keymarket, and WKMG-TV Orlando.
Rothfuss fills the position held by Dick O’Neil. O’Neil will retire on May 31.
Audacy announced the promotion of Peter Rothfuss as Senior Vice President and Market Manager for its Gainesville/Ocala market, effective June 1. In this role, Rothfuss will oversee the broadcast, digital and live experience assets for 98.5 KTK (WKTK-FM), Country 103.7 The Gator (WRUF-FM), 97.3 The Sky (WSKY-FM) and 98.1 FM / 850 AM ESPN (WRUF-AM). Rothfuss previously served as the market’s General Sales Manager since 2016.
Rothfuss will succeed Dick O’Neil, who announced his retirement effective May 31.

Prior to this role, Rothfuss served as General Sales Manager for Audacy Gainesville/Ocala since 2016. Prior to that, he had two stints with Audacy Wilkes-Barre in which he served as an Integrated Marketing Specialist (2014-2016) and Director of Sales (2010-2013). Rothfuss also previously held a Sales Manager position for Townsquare Media (2013-2014), and was the Chief Operating Officer for The Advertising Agency in Winter Park, FL (2004-2009), Account Executive and Local Sales Manager for Post Newsweek’s CBS affiliate WKMG in Orlando (2001-2004), Sales Manager for Saber Communications in Williamsport, PA (1995-1995), and Account Executive for Keymarket (1987-1995).
