Longtime Nashville Sports talker George Plaster is departing his 2-4pm show on Southern Wabash Communications of Middle Tennessee Sports 560 WNSR/95.9 W240CA Nashville and 103.9 WNTC Drakesboro KY to host a new streaming show for local newspaper company Main Street Media.
Plaster has been with WNSR since August 2019. He has hosted Sports talk shows in Nashville since 1989 when he joined 99.7 WWTN. He then hosted afternoons on “104.5 The Zone” WGFX from 2003-2011 and “102.5 The Game” WPRT-FM from 2012-2016 before a brief one month stint at 650 WSM in May 2019. He has also served as Associate Athletic Director at Belmont University and was the play-by-play voice for Vanderbilt University, Memphis State and Georgia Tech football.
Plaster will host a 4-6pm weekday show with current co-host/former Vanderbilt football coach Watson Brown that will be made available on Main Street Media’s OTT channel, YouTube and social media platforms starting in July. The platform also features former WSM host Devon O’Day.
