Jessamyn McIntyre Joins KJR-FM As Assistant Program Director

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
January 3, 2023

93.3 KJR-FM Seattle SportsiHeartMedia Sports 93.3 KJR-FM Seattle has appointed Jessamyn McIntyre as Assistant Program Director.

McIntyre most recently worked as Executive Communications and Engagement Manager for the Washington State Secretary of Health and sideline reporter for Washington State University football. She began her career as a producer for ESPN Radio from 2005 to 2009 before joining Bonneville’s “710 ESPN” KIRO Seattle in 2009 and later worked as a producer for KCPQ-TV and co-host of a Seattle Seahawks postgame show for Northwest Cable News.

She fills the opening created by Kevin Shockey’s move to KSE Media’s “Altitude Sports Radio 92.5” KKSE-FM Denver as Program Director in October.

iHeartMedia announced today that Jessamyn McIntyre has been named assistant program director for Seattle, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Seattle has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than eight stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As assistant program director, McIntyre will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the radio station’s on-air experience and strategic execution off-air. She will report to Rich Moore, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Seattle/Portland.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Jessamyn join our team and help our KJR sports platforms,” said Rich Moore, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Seattle/Portland. “Her tremendous experience and great knowledge of the market will help us grow even stronger.”

McIntyre joins Sports Radio 93.3 KJR from multiple media backgrounds, most recently with The Washington State Department of Health, where she served as the executive communications and engagement manager for the state secretary of health. She also served as the executive producer for FOX 13 and 710 ESPN Seattle. McIntyre began her career at ESPN in Bristol, C.T. and is a graduate of Springfield College with degrees in both sports journalism and english.

“I am beyond thrilled to return to the work I’ve been so passionate about my entire career,” said Jessamyn McIntyre, Assistant Program Director of iHeartMedia Seattle. “I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity and for the many more to come with the Seattle institution that is KJR. More than anything, I am excited to connect with the passionate sports fans in Seattle once again. See you soon.”
