After the “Lamont & Tonelli Show” came to an end at Cumulus Media Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN San Mateo/San Francisco on Friday, November 15, one half of the show is returning.
The station announced on Christmas Eve that Lamont Hollywood will helm “The Lamont Show” starting Monday, January 6. He will continue to be joined by former co-hosts in KSAN Program Director ‘Chasta Lynn’ Michaelis and APD Danny ‘Baby Huey’ Delmore. They had continued in mornings following Lamont and Tonelli’s departure.
After working at multiple stations in his native Winnipeg including mornings at CITI-FM, Lamont came to the Bay Area in 1989 to host mornings at Rock 92.3 KSJO San Jose where he was teamed with Paul Tonelli. The duo would remain at KSJO until 2002 and would join KSAN in 2003. Chasta joined the show as traffic reporter in 2012, added midday host duties in 2017, and rose to PD in July 2021. Baby Huey has spent his entire career with the station starting as an intern in 2005 before becoming the show’s producer and added APD duties in October 2021.
In comments on the announcement, Lamont mentioned that he is trying to get Tonelli to return as well. The show was cancelled as part of Cumulus Media’s company-wide budget cuts throughout the fall.
