More details from SummitMedia’s cuts in late April continue to trickle out.
At CHR “Power 96.5” KSPW Spingfield MO, both of the station’s local talents have exited. Jay ‘The Ginge’ Lashley has served as Program Director since February 2019 and was previous Music Director. He has hosted afternoons since 2017.
Ekaterina ‘Katie’ Kozlova exits as midday host and cluster Sales Assistant. Kozlova wrote, “I was officially laid off from my role at Summit Media. My time there has come to an end, and while it’s bittersweet, I’m incredibly grateful for everything I’ve learned and the amazing people I got to work with along the way. That said, I’m now looking for new opportunities! If you or someone you know is in need of a creative, driven individual who can manage social media, create engaging content, edit video/audio, and help bring your digital presence to life — I’m your person.”
SummitMedia is importing Beasley Media Group Classic Hip Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC-FM Detroit midday host Kayla Morgan for middays. Morgan also tracks middays at CHR “Today’s Hits 97.3” WPYA Birmingham and “Channel 94.1” KQCH Omaha and previously worked at SummitMedia’s “Star 102.1” WWST Knoxville. Christine George, who hosts middays at WWST, adds afternoons at KSPW.
YEA Networks’ Tino Cochino Radio remains in mornings.
