Curtis Media Variety Hits “96.1 BBB” WBBB Raleigh midday host Kitty Kinnin is retiring following her show today wrapping a 40 year broadcasting career.

Kinnin has been with WBBB since 2015 hosting in both afternoon drive and middays. A native of Miami, she began her career while in college in Gainesville before getting her first job at WKZL Greensboro. She would first arrive in Raleigh in 1985 for a thirteen year run in middays at Rock 106.1 WRDU. She would then spend time in the market at 93.9 WZZU, 107.1 WFXC, 90.7 WNCU, and hosting mornings at Classic Hits “100.7 The River” WRVA-FM. Kinnin also spent time in Wilmington NC spending four years at WWAY-TV and AAA “The Penguin” WUIN. She has also hosted specialty Jazz and Blues shows at many of her stations.
