iHeartMedia Country “96.9 The Kat” WKKT Statesville/Charlotte NC is revamping its lineup.
Graham Bunn has returned to mornings. Bunn joined WKKT as morning co-host in April 2025. He briefly moved to middays at the start of the year. After beginning his career as a contestant on The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad, and Bachelor in Paradise, Bull hosted mornings at Mount Wilson FM Broadcasting’s “Go Country 105” KKGO-FM Los Angeles from 2014 to 2018 and hosted the Country music competition “Real Country” on USA Network.
Sarah Lee Owensby will now host middays. Owensby joined WKKT in 2018 as morning co-host first with Paul Schadt and then Bunn. In January, the station revamped the morning show as “Mornings with Sarah Lee”. She previously was parts of morning shows at 96.1 WIBT Charlotte, WNOW-FM New York, and WLLD Tampa. She also co-hosted the syndicated Dawson McAllister Live and started as an intern on the syndicated Ace & TJ Show.
The WKSF Asheville based Eddie Foxx Show remains in afternoons and Premiere Networks’ “Bobby Bones Show” at night. Program Director Ashley Wilson will anchor a new music hour from 11pm to 12am leading into After Midnight.
iHeartMedia Charlotte & Raleigh SVP/Programming Trevor Morini commented, “We are thrilled to share 96.9 The Kat’s updated lineup. Harnessing the power and influence of our locally established talent across multiple dayparts allows for greater community engagement and an enhanced listener experience.”
