Curtis Media Variety Hits “96.1 BBB” WBBB Raleigh has added Christy Brittain as its new afternoon host.
Brittain joins WBBB from afternoons at El Dorado Broadcasters’ “Kat Country 100.7” KATJ Victorville CA. A native of Tennessee, Brittain has previously held roles at WTQR Winston-Salem NC and spent thirteen years in middays at Country “95.1 K-Frog” KFRG Riverside CA as ‘Christy McLeap’. She also worked as a paraeducator supporting autistic preschoolers.
She commented, “I couldn’t be more excited to join 96.1 BBB and reconnect with listeners in North Carolina. I was 17 years old when the radio bug hit me and I still love doing it. Radio has always been about companionship and community, and I look forward to spending afternoons with the incredible people of the Triangle.”
Program Director Sammy Simpson, who Brittain will succeed in afternoons, added, “We are thrilled to welcome Christy to the 96.1 BBB team. Her experience, authenticity, and passion for connecting with listeners make her a perfect fit for us. Christy understands what great radio is all about, creating meaningful relationships with audiences while delivering entertaining, engaging content every day.”
