Following the retirements of Paul Fuller and ‘Al Michaels’ Milukas at the end of August, iHeartMedia Rock 94.1 WHJY Providence has revamped its on-air lineup.

Afternoon hosts Doug Palmieri and Jenn Dower have taken over the morning slot. The duo have hosted mornings at Hot AC “Now 93.3” WSNE since 2014 in addition to the roles they had at WHJY.

Palmeiri, who also has programmed WHJY since 2014 and previously programmed WSNE, originally joined the station in 1999 as APD/Imaging Director/night host until departing in 2005. He came back first in 2007 as Creative Services Director. Following a stint at WEEI Boston, he returned for the third time as Director of Production and afternoon co-host in 2013 before taking on his current roles in 2014.

Dower has been with WHJY since 2004 mostly in middays until moving to afternoons with Palmeiri at the start of 2025 in addition to the duo hosting mornings at WSNE (which was later simulcast on WCOD Cape Cod). She previously had worked at WAQY/WLZX Springfield MA.

With Doug and Jenn moving to mornings, Steve Scarpetti is returning to WHJY as afternoon host. Scarpetti had previously worked for the cluster from 2001 until January 2025. He served as Promotions Coordinator until rising to Promotions Director in 2007, while moving on-air as overnight host in 2012 and then joined Palmieri in afternoons in 2015. After exiting, he continued to serve as a fill-in and hosting “The Metal Zone” on Saturday overnights.

With Doug and Jenn moving to mornings at WHJY, their show on WSNE has come to an end. The station has added the KBIG Los Angeles based Valentine in the Morning in its place.
