iHeartMedia AC “Sunny 99.1” KODA Houston has added Monica ‘Mo’ Lunsford to its lineup as afternoon host.
Lunsford will also continue to serve as co-host of the Rod Ryan Show in mornings at sister Rock/Alternative “94.5 The Buzz” KTBZ-FM. She joined KTBZ-FM in May 2025 to replace Tessa Barrera after previously spending a decade co-hosting mornings at Audacy Country “100.3 The Bull” KILT-FM. She has also held roles as Promotions Director and morning co-host at CHR “i94” WRWM Indianapolis and morning co-host at Country “98.7 The Bull” KUPL Portland.
Just like at KTBZ-FM, she fills the afternoon slot that had been held by Barrera. Barrera had returned to iHeart in July, but left after a couple of weeks to co-host “Hello Houston” at Houston Public Media Public News/Talk 88.7 KUHF-FM.
