iHeartMedia CHR “106.1 Kiss-FM” KHKS Dallas midday host and “104.5 Latino Hits” KZEP San Antonio evening host Celina Martinez is joining YEA Media Group’s Tino Cochino Show as its new co-host.
Martinez spent the past four years in Dallas preceded by three years at iHeartMedia Tucson where she served in the dual role of midday host on Country “92.9 The Bull” KHUD and afternoon host at CHR “93.7 KRQ” KRQQ. She commented, “To say that I’m grateful for this opportunity is an understatement. Ever since I started my radio career seven years ago, I’ve dreamed of being part of a team, and joining The Tino Cochino Show is truly a dream come true. I’m so excited for the opportunity to connect with our audience across the country and bring my own personality, humor, and perspective to a show that already has so much of it. I can’t wait to see what we create together!”
Cochino commented, “The success of this show has always been built on personality, chemistry, and authenticity. Celina brings all three. She has a natural confidence, a fresh perspective, and an energy that I think is going to connect with our audience in a big way. We’re at a really exciting point in the evolution of this brand. We’re expanding what we create, how we create it, and where people can experience it. Having the right people in place is everything, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Celina to the team. We’re not interested in repeating yesterday’s success. We’re focused on building tomorrow’s.”
Martinez fills the opening created by Serina Perez’s exit earlier this month.
