MYfm PD Dave Denes said, “104.3 MYfm will be adult hits like Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Fergie, Justin Timberlake, John Mayer, Shakira, Madonna, Santana, and much more. Every song we play is or was at the top of the charts. You’ll love it.”
“With today’s consumer wanting to custom tailor-everything to their liking, the name ‘MY’ is a perfect brand for radio,” said CC/L.A. VP/Programming Michael Martin. “This is a station designed by the listeners to play music they tell us they want to hear. How do we know what they want to hear? Extensive market research and continual weekly music information to keep the station familiar, fun, and family-friendly.â€
CC/L.A. Market President Greg Ashlock compared the station to sister WWFS (Fresh) New York, saying that station “has experienced success out of the gate with a very similar playlist and presentation.”
In a nice change of pace for the industry, Clear Channel gave KBIG morning host Charlie Tuna the ability to say farewell to the audience including appearances from sister KOST morning hosts Mark and Kim and KYSR’s Lisa Foxx.

I liked K-big 104. It was like the LGBT station in LA but now this new station is more like Jack FM and I’m not into lame generic sounding. K-big was the only station on the dial worth tuning into. So I’ll go back to my CD collection or XM. But you can keep My Jack FM
