  1. Is this going to be a mandated replacement on most (if not all) Fox Sports Radio affiliates? Judging by stations like KLSD/San Diego, the answer is ‘yes’…

Then there are those Rome affils independent of FSR or CC – most notably the split affiliation of WKNR/850 and WWGK/1540 in Cleveland – that have been strangely mum about what show they will take. My hunch is those stations will keep Rome, unless CBS/Cumulus has some other carriage requirements in mind or they cannot break the Premiere contract…

    • I don’t think any station is mandated to carry anything. Mohr will technically be replacing the simulcast of Fox Sports Daybreak in the 12-3pm slot as Rome was considered a separate programming service coming from Premiere Radio Networks.

Outside of XEPRS San Diego, which will be picking up Rome but retaining its ESPN affiliation for nights and weekends there hasn’t been a station that has come out and said it will be affiliating with CBSSR just for Rome.
