The post-Christmas format change watchlist will soon debut as we now have our second Christmas Music station of the season.
After moving Christian Preaching “Love Radio” WVOA to the 87.7 audio signal of LPTV Channel 6 on October 1, WOLF Radio launched all-Christmas “Holly FM” on 103.9 WNDR Mexico/Oswego and 95.3 W237AY DeWitt/Syracuse, NY on Saturday.
In a press release announcing the launch, station manager Sam Furco said, “We believe that starting the season of peace, joy and love early by one month brings the holidays closer for all Central New York families.” The station has claimed the WNDR calls that were historically best known for their long run on 1260 in Syracuse.
WOLF Radio also operates Rhythmic AC “Movin 100.3/96.5” WMVN/W243AB, Country “Wolf 105.1” WOLF-FM/96.7 WWLF-FM, and “Radio Disney 1490/1340” WOLF/WWLF in the Syracuse market.
The launch gives us the second Christmas launch of the year, following Clear Channel debuting “Santa 100.9” K265CA Albuquerque on August 31.
I remember that over the top legal ID they had as a Radio Disney station.
