October 13, 2015

JV & Elvis Dog House Talk 910 KKSF San FranciscoJeff “JV” Vandergrift and Dan “Elvis” Lay will reunite in afternoons at iHeartMedia Talk 910 KKSF San Francisco.

The duo spent many years in mornings at sister “Wild 94.9” KYLD San Francisco until being fired in 2005. They spent a brief time in late mornings at CBS’s ill-fated “92.3 Free-FM” WFNY-FM New York before each went their separate ways. Vandergrift eventually returned to mornings at KYLD in 2009, while Lay spent a brief time at Royce International’s “92.7 Rev” KREV. The new incarnation of the show comes as part of a contract extension to retain “JV In The Morning” at KYLD.

The Dog House will air weekdays from 4-6pm on KKSF with Gil Gross moving to 10am-2pm and Cory & Joel to 2-4pm to make way. Content from JV’s production company will be heard along with the show on iHeartRadio’s new “Dog House Channel”.

iHeartMedia San Francisco announced today a new multi-year contract with WiLD 94.9 (KYLD) Morning Show host, JV. He will continue his “JV Show” in the mornings on KYLD and expand his role to include a new program on KKSF-AM (Talk 910).

Starting October 19, Talk 910 will make some adjustments to the weekday on-air schedule. The highly successful Armstrong & Getty show will continue from 6-10 a.m., Gil Gross moves to 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., followed by Cory & Joel from 2-4 p.m., The Dog House with JV and Elvis from 4-6 p.m. and Armstrong & Getty: Beyond The Broadcast from 6-7 p.m. The remainder of the program schedule will remain unchanged. In addition to his two daily shows, JV will also produce and distribute content through his production company, which will be available on Dog House Channel on iHeartRadio. JV, who originally hosted Mornings on KYLD from 1994 to 2005 and returned in 2008, has a strong history and successful record in San Francisco.

“JV is one on The Bay’s best and consistently top rated personalities. We’re thrilled to have him extend his tenure on WiLD 94.9, along with fulfilling his passion for Talk Radio with a new show on Talk 910, teamed with previous long-time partner Elvis,” said Don Parker, Senior Vice President of Programming, iHeartMedia San Francisco. “He will not only continue entertaining the WiLD audience, but he and Elvis are part of a new and exciting generation of Talk Radio.”

“This is a great partnership for JV and iHeartMedia. His on-air persona and ability to connect with our listeners has truly made him a recognizable brand in the San Francisco market. JV will certainly continue to build upon his growing success,” said Brad Hardin, Executive Vice President andGeneral Manager of National Programming Platforms, iHeartMedia.
