Roberto Gonzalez’s MBM Radio sells Variety Hits “104.9 Jack-FM” KJAV Alamo and Spanish News/Talk 840 KVJY Pharr in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas to Andrés Bichara’s Bi-Media License for $2.2 million. These are Bi-Media’s first stations, while MBM as R Communications will still retain 3 FMs and 1 AM in the McAllen/Edinburg/Brownsville market.

In addition to beginning to operate WJSJ Fernandina Beach/Jacksonville FL as “CBS Sports 105.3“, Neal Ardman’s NIA Broadcasting will purchase the station from Tama Broadcasting’s bankruptcy receiver Scott Savage for $800,000.

Lazer Broadcasting is acquiring the Construction Permit for a Monterey/Salinas market rimshot on 98.7 in Greenfield CA from Lotus Communications for $250,000. The station will become Lazer’s third in the market joining the CP for 95.1 KMLY Gonzales and Regional Mexican “Radio Lazer 93.1” KXSM Chualar.

GHB of Waxhaw sells 1410 WTIX Concord NC to William Marc Graham’s 2B Productions for $65,000. 2B also owns Oldies 1280 WSAT and Classic Country 1490 WSTP in Salisbury NC.

Ivan James is acquiring the CP for a new Class A on 105.7 in Robert Lee TX from Robert E. Lee for $8,000.

El Sembrador Ministries acquires 88.1 KDDF Mecca CA from Holy Cross Radio for $78,993.56.

Translator Sales

In the western suburbs of Houston, Aleluya Broadcasting Network purchases 88.1 K201EU Katy TX from Paulo Bernal Evangelism for $70,000 to rebroadcast their “Radio Aleluya” 88.1 KFTG Pasadena TX.

iHeartMedia sells the CP for 99.7 W259BP Meridian MS to Clay Holladay’s Mississippi Broadcasters for $27,500 to rebroadcast their Gospel 1450 WYHL Meridian.

Angelo Joseph Salvi purchases 105.3 W287BY Oregon IL from Edgewater Broadcasting for $38,000. W287BY will be moved to Rockford to rebroadcast Salvi’s Classic Country “Luv Radio” 1520 WLUV Loves Park.

Edgewater also sells the CP for 105.7 W289BW Verona/Tupelo MS to Community Broadcasting Services of Mississippi for $22,000. W289BW is currently licensed to rebroadcast American Family Association’s 88.3 WAFR Tupelo.

In a third sale, Edgewater divests the CP for 95.7 W239BY Florence AL to Roger Wright’s Prospect Communications for $20,000. All of Wright’s other properties are over the Tennessee state line in Lawrenceburg and Pulaski where this translator will eventually end up.

Shaw Communications donates 98.1 W251BD Berlin NH to Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce who will use the translator to rebroadcast Shaw’s Hot AC “Magic 104.5” WVMJ Conway. As a condition of the donation, the Chamber of Commerce will produce and submit Public Service Announcements on behalf of Berlin/Gorham area non-profits. WVMJ will carry sixty 30 second PSA’s per week.

92.9 K225BY Olympia WA will be transferred from Sam-Sno Educational Media to Northwest Indy Radio for no cost. K225BY is licensed to rebroadcast News/Talk 1030 KMAS Shelton.

Holy Family Communications acquires the CP for 99.1 W256CJ Findlay OH from American Family Association for $25,000 to rebroadcast Catholic 88.9 WJTA Glandorf.

Palmetto Media Partners acquires 96.5 W243CO Elloree SC from Roger Blume for $35,000 to rebroadcast 92.9 WLRE-LP Elloree.

Advance Ministries purchases 106.1 K291BU Yucca AZ from Horizon Christian Fellowship for $3000. K291BU will rebroadcast 91.1 KNLB Lake Havasu City.
