We are a public station looking for a unicorn: a unique combination of talents to be one of our first ever station image voices.  Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Male: we WILL be looking for a female talent as well, but we’re concentrating on this voice first.
• Great pipes: big, rich and deep, but smooth.  Elegant without being stuffy.
• The ability to use those pipes: can you command attention while maintaining calm?  Can you be friendly and comfortable without sounding like everyone else?  Can you announce without sounding like an announcer?
• The ability to interpret copy in a variety of ways: we have the obligatory news shows, plus classical, jazz and folk programming.  We’re counting on you to be the common thread.

There will be a large startup package, with additional pages to follow on an irregular basis.  This is a per-page arrangement; rate to be negotiated.
