Acadia Broadcasting has closed on its purchase of “News 91.9” CKNI Moncton, New Brunswick and flipped the station to AC.
“91.9 The Bend” is branded as “Metro’s Perfect Music Mix”. CKNI’s airstaff includes Josh McLellan in the morning from 6-10am, Leo Melanson from 10am-2pm and Jeannie Mac from 2-7pm.

Theater of My Mind says: Basically another classic hits station in a town that already has a classic hits station, odd strategy for a market size under 200,000. Shame about the loss of news/talk, there are just too many stations playing variants of the same ho-hum music here.
