After a 47 year career all in his hometown. of Lansing MI, Danny Stewart will retire from mornings at Townsquare Media AC 99.1 WFMK on January 31.

Stewart has been with WFMK since 1991 after previous stints at Top 40s 1320 WILS from 1976-77 and 94.9 WVIC from 1977 to 1991. He hosted mornings at WFMK with Monica Harris from 2007 to 2021.

In a tribute on WFMK’s website, afternoon host John Robinson wrote, “When Danny came in to the studio and told me he was retiring, I was stunned and speechless. Those were words I never thought I’d hear. I figured he’d be doing this until he was in his nineties, because it was his passion, his hobby, his love.”
