Bustos Media is expanding in Milwaukee with the purchase of Spanish Tropical “Radio Caliente 97.9” W250BN Milwaukee from John Torres’ El Sol Broadcasting for $800,000. Fed via Audacy’s 99.1 WMYX-HD3, the translator will join a cluster that includes Regional Mexican “La Gran D 104.7” WDDW Sturtevant, “La Z 93.7” W229CQ/WDDW-HD2, “Urbana 104.7” WDDW-HD3, and “La Ranchera 104.7” WDDW-HD4. John Torres will serve as a consultant for Bustos Milwaukee.
Station Sales
John Fuller will purchase full control of Impact Radio’s “Eagle Country 97.5” WTNN Bristol/Burlington VT as he buys out Arthur Belendiuk’s 50% share for $100,000. Fuller owns Full Power Radio and its fourteen stations in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Pathway Christian Academy acquires 104.5 WSTK Aurora NC from Ron Benfield’s Media East for $175,000. WSTK had been simulcasting Classic Country 97.5 WLGT Washington NC. Pathway Christian Academy operates the Christian “Go Mix Radio” network across eastern North Carolina.
Randall Southern’s Southern Communications Corporation purchases Silent 1250 WYKM/93.7 W229CY Rupert WV from the estate of Betty Dorsey Crookshanks’ Mountain State Broadcasting Company for $30,000. The buyer owns five stations in the Beckley market.
Susan Mullins’ WYTI Inc. sells Full Service Country 1570 WYTI/104.5 W283CQ Rocky Mount VA to Eric Turner’s Turner Media Group for $250,000. Turner began operating WYTI via LMA on June 1 creating a duopoly with Country “B99.9” WZBB Stanleytown.
