After 25 years with Rox Radio Group Alternative “104.9 The X” KXNA Springdale/Fayetteville AR, Branden Lee has exited as host of “The AMX”.
During his tenure, Lee served as Production Director and was the longtime host of “3B Radio” in afternoons with Chris Bobbitt and Bailey Mendenhall.
Lee shared, “After 25 years on the air at KXNA 104.9 The X, my time with the station has come to an end. Quarter of a century is a significant chapter of a life. It is 25 years of early mornings, shared music, and deep roots built right here in Northwest Arkansas. When you invest that much of yourself into a broadcast, a community, and a audience, a transition like this inevitably brings a moment of reflection. What remains above all else, though, is profound gratitude and pride. I am thankful for every single listener who ever tuned the dial, every person who stopped to say hello on the street, every artist who shared their story with us, and every unforgettable morning-show moment built alongside true friends. Special thanks to the late Steve Butler—a genuine trailblazer—to Dave Jackson, my steady compass, and to Bailey Mendenhall and Chris Bobbitt, brothers in every sense of the word. The standard of work we set together, and the connection we built with this community, is permanent. A company’s bad decisions don’t change that legacy. We don’t always choose the exact timing of a transition, but we always choose how we meet it. I am stepping forward with my head held high, full confidence in what I have accomplished, and zero intention of stepping away from the mic. KXNA may be moving in a different direction, but my voice, my love for music, and my commitment to Northwest Arkansas aren’t going anywhere. Thank you for tuning in for the last 25 years. This isn’t the final broadcast—it’s just the prelude to the next chapter.”
