NPR has appointed Erica Osher as Vice President for its AI Labs.
Osher has spent the past twelve years at National Public Media in multiple roles rising to Vice President of Sponsorship Product Management. As part of that role shoe was part of a team that founded and developed NPR’s AI Labs initiative, co-writing NPR’s AI guidelines and developing pilot programs. In her new role
She previously held marketing and UX design positions at Insider Pages and was a producer for CBS Radio. In her new role, Osher will develop and lead programs that build trust, augment NPR team capacities, and innovate with emerging AI tools in support of NPR’s public service mission.
NPR COO Ryan Merkley said, “Erica has demonstrated curiosity, leadership, and collaboration as interim GM of AI Labs — leading pilots, seeking new partnerships, and ensuring our work drives towards innovation while upholding NPR’s mission and values. She’s worked closely with member organizations, industry leaders, and NPR staff across teams and I’m thrilled she’s joining our team.”
