MediaCo has announced the appointment of Maire Mason as VP/GM for the company’s radio properties in New York and television properties in New York, Chicago and Denver including Hip Hop “Hot 97” WQHT and Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS.
Mason has spent the past eight years in the same role for Spanish Broadcasting System in New York and Chicago. She has also held roles as General Sales Manager and VP/GM of Country “Nash-FM 94.7” WNSH, Director of Sales for Univision New York and Merlin Media’s “FM News 101.9” WEMP and spent 29 years at Infinity Broadcasting/CBS Radio in multiple roles including General Manager of 92.3 WXRK, 101.1 WCBS-FM, and 102.7 WNEW.
She said, “This opportunity doesn’t come around often. I’m excited to lead iconic brands like Hot 97 and WBLS alongside La Luna, La Buena, and WMBC, and to work with a leadership team that is building something special.”
CEO Albert Rodriguez followed, “Maire is an extraordinary executive and one of the top leaders in audio. Her experience, market insight, and leadership make her the ideal person to lead our local operations as we continue to grow.”
Also joining MediaCo from SBS is Elizabeth Paulino. Paulino who has served as Local Sales Manager since 2018, will be MediaCo’s Director of Sales.
MediaCo also announced Liz Paulino has been appointed Director of Sales, reporting to Mason, further strengthening the company’s local leadership team.
