Cumulus Media is conducting a search for a new Operations Manager in Toledo OH as Jerry Mac has exited after eight years with the cluster.
Mac shared on LinkedIn, “Looking for my next opportunity and ready to make a move. I am aggressively looking for a new challenge. I love teaching and helping others become better. I want to work for, and with people who understand that in an ever changing landscape, we can still do great things. I love doing radio, but am always ready to find the next adventure. Something challenging and satisfying.”
Mac had joined Cumulus Toledo as Program Director of Country “K100” WKKO in June 2018. He would add duties as PD/morning host at Classic Hits 93.5 WRQN and rose to Operations Manager in July 2020. Prior to Toledo, Mac held roles as Operations Manager for Community Broadcasters in Elmira NY and NextMedia Wilmington NC, PD of Clear Channel Youngstown OH and NextMedia Canton OH, Assistant Program Director for Leighton Broadcasting St. Cloud MN, and worked on-air in Asheville NC and Pittsburgh.
Cumulus is seeking someone with at least five years of experience as a PD with a winning ratings history and previous OM experience is highly desired. The company says, “You must have the people skills to lead a programming team but also have the technical savvy and attention to detail that allows you to keep the stations running with a high degree of precision. You must possess excellent oral and written communications skills, and a proven ability to collaborate with internal and external contacts. A track record of great collaboration with station management, sales and promotions is a must.
