Opry Entertainment Group Talk/Classic Country 650 WSM Nashville will launch “The Kelly Sutton Show” in mornings on Monday, August 10.
Sutton, who previously co-hosted “Coffee, Country & Cody” with the late Bill Cody, will be joined by longtime WSM personality and Grand Ole Opry host Charlie Mattos and WSM Studio Director Annie Ney. Fellow WSM personality Amber Anderson, who also co-hosts Amazon Music’s “Country Heat Weekly” podcast with Sutton, will be a regular contributor.
Sutton said, “I am truly honored to be entrusted with carrying on the incredible legacy of WSM Radio, Being part of Coffee, Country & Cody for the past five years has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. Bill Cody was so much more than a coworker—he was a dear friend, a mentor, and someone who helped shape both my career and my love for this audience. Our listeners have always felt like family, and that won’t change. I’m excited to help create a morning show that’s filled with laughter, great music, and genuine connection. Charlie, Annie, Amber and I can’t wait to wake up with our listeners each morning and continue the tradition of making WSM feel like home.”
In addition to her role at WSM and on Amazon’s podcast, Sutton will continue to host the weekly syndicated “Y’all Access with Kelly Sutton” and “The Nashville Show” on Absolute Radio Country in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining WSM in 2021, Sutton was a news anchor at “Fox 17” WZTV from 2001 to 2013 and WSMV-TV from 2016 to 2020.
Nashvillians also know Sutton as a former Fox 17 news anchor, from 2001 to 2013, and a former WSMV4 midday show co-host, from 2016 to 2020. In the past several years, Sutton has built a national following among country fans on radio and on podcasts.
