Clear Channel Spanish CHR “103.5 Super X” WMIB Miami has flipped to Variety Hits and brought back its original moniker.
“She 103.5” returned at 5am this morning branded as “She Plays Everything” with the usual 10,000 songs in a row. Due to the lack of any Alternative Rock station in the market, the station is emphasizing recurrent and gold Alternative tracks amongst the 80s and 90s pop/rock.
The entire Super X programming and airstaff were dismissed by Clear Channel yesterday afternoon. “She 103.5” was a hertitage Rock station in South Florida until 1996 when it flipped to Modern AC and has had a subsequent series of formats since including Jammin Oldies, Urban and Spanish CHR. Clear Channel has retained the WSHE calls since moving them out of Miami, first in Orlando and since in Columbus, GA.

For what it’s worth, Clear Channel doesn’t have to move the WSHE calls off of 1470 AM in Columbus, GA (where it’s technically on a station owned by Aloha Station Trust, LLC) since they could opt to go with WSHE-FM for 103.5 in Miami.
