Beasley Media Group Augusta GA Operations Manager Tee Gentry retired from the company on Friday ending a 30 year tenure with the company.
Gentry, who also served as PD/afternoon host at Country “Kicks 99” WKXC, will consult the company on overall programming strategy and the annual “Kicks 99 Guitar Pull” event. Gentry had joined Beasley Augusta in 1996 and had led the cluster outside of a three year stint as cluster Operations Manager and Program Director of Country 99.5 WQYK Tampa from December 2014 until December 2017. In recent years, Gentry also held oversight of the company’s Fayetteville NC stations and was VP of Brand Strategies for the company. Prior to joining WKXC Gentry programmed WGTR Myrtle Beach at its launch in 1992 an then was APD/MD of WESC-FM Greenville SC.
WKXC APD/MD/midday host Chris O’Kelley will serve as interim Program Director for the station, while morning co-host Blaine ‘Cody’ Jackson will fill-in afternoons.
