Culver Communications’ “1230 The Breeze” WECK/102.9 W275BB Cheektowaga/Buffalo, NY has shifted from Soft AC/Oldies to Adult Standards as “Timeless WECK“.
The move adds artists like Adele, Norah Jones, and Michael Buble to the usual current Standards mix of Beatles, Barbara Streisand, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett. WECK previously ran a Standards format from 1981 until 2006, at one time one of the highest rated “Music Of Your Life” affiliates in the country. Since then it has aired Classic Country, Talk, and the recent Soft AC/Oldies format.
With the change Tom Donahue remains in mornings.
1230 WECK operates with 1kW, while its 102.9 translator covers the city of Buffalo with 220 watts.
