Byrne Acquisitions Group Sports 104.9 WCCP-FM Clemson, SC has completed its move to 105.5.

With the move to 105.5, the station has upgraded from a Class A with 4.6kW at 113 meters to a C3 with 20kW at 114 meters (Coverage Map). The move also brings a new name to the station as it is now branding itself as “105.5 The Roar“. The station programs locally from 6am to 7pm daily and serves as flagship for Clemson University sports. The station has used the move to 105.5 to also join the Atlanta Braves radio network.

WCCP’s move to 105.5 is the second to be completed in a three station frequency shuffle first proposed in 2012. Clear Channel moved 104.9 WQNS Waynesville, NC to 105.1 in January leaving 96.7 WROO Maudlin/Greenville’s move to 104.9 awaiting completion.
