Original Report 12/29: Clear Channel Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WMVX Cleveland has begun counting down to a New Year and New Station. The station is currently featuring a broad range of music from every genre (incuding Polka!) with a countdown clock to Monday, January 3 at 7:30am.
We had reported on December 12 of Clear Channel’s registration of 1065TheLake.com pointing to the website of KOSY Salt Lake City. It appears that domain could very well be for use in Cleveland instead.

OMG This station is now playing the Chicken dance and this after a few mins ago playing the Monster Mash in December.I am kind of enjoying this right now LOL.
Today they played the Silver Spoons theme song… LOL
Last night the 3 songs I heard were Cherry Pie by Warrant, followed by a Sousa March, followed by That’s Not My Name by the Ting Tings. Very odd but fun! You never know what’s coming next!
They will have to do alot of changes before Cleveland radio will be good again…Right now the radio airplay in this area sucks
Heard the Smurfs theme song yesterday! I kind of like the variety. Would be interesting to keep it this way.
I love this new mix of music. What a way to switch it up. There is literaaly something for everyone.
Our office had listened to 106.5 after Xmas and absolutley LOVED the “change up” in the music. Opera, Polkas, Country, Rap, Pop, Classical etc.????? Never knowing what to expect next. Alot of fun!! Now on January 3rd, we are all disappointed that the music didn’t stay that way. You can hear all the songs you are NOW playing on 105.7!! There is NO CHANGE like you were advertising. You are like any other station!!!
When will people learn..Clear Channel owns 3/4 of the fm dial…But mark my words..WMJI’s format is next to change..They will become a all news and sports station..But honestly..You can’t hear Tone Loc on 105 or The Cardigans.So they are not sounding the same..The best cure for the radio blues is V107.3..All my presets are 107.3 in my car and on my Bose wave radio..107.3 is local and programmed here..Support it!!
I started listneing a few days ago. No commercials and great music. This is my new station at work.
