Friends of Public Radio’s 91.3 WHQR Wilmington NC is moving its Classical programming to a stronger translator.
The group has closed on its purchase of 92.7 W224CX Wilmington from Conner Media and completed its upgrade to 250w/141m. W224CX replaces 99 watt 96.7 W244DH Wilmington as the primary home of its Classical programming. That signal holds a CP to move south of Wilmington where it plans to eventually land in the Southport/Oak Island area to enhance the Classical programming’s coverage in the beach communities.
