With the sale of Classic Hits 92.1 WSEN-FM Baldwinsville/Syracuse to Family Life Ministries about to close, Galaxy Communications has purchased to intellectual property of the station and merged it into their own Classic Hits “Sunny 102.1” WZUN Phoenix NY.
The stations began simulcasting at 3pm today as WSEN’s three remaining personalities were introduced by WZUN afternoon host Rick Gary. WSEN morning host Gary Dunes will join the existing Big Mike & Cindy morning show, Cindy Humble will then host solo from 10am-12pm, Diane Wade moves from WSEN middays to 12-3pm, John Carucci will co-host with Rick Gary in afternoons from now. We had reported on the likelihood of this simulcast in a Domain Insight report last month.
Syracuse.com reports that the simulcast will last for a week before Family Life begins programming 92.1 next monday.
