Premiere Networks has announced that “103.5 Kiss-FM” WKSC Chicago morning co-host Angi Taylor will add additional duties as co-host of The Rendezvous with Simon Marcel.
Taylor succeeds original co-host Kim Iverson. The relationship advice show airs on mostly AC and Hot AC stations including iHeartMedia’s “93.9 My-FM” WLIT Chicago, “Mix 106.1” WISX Philadelphia, and “Mix 100.7” WMTX Tampa.
Premiere Networks announced today that Chicago radio personality Angi Taylor has been named the new co-host of The Rendezvous, effective immediately. Taylor, who will continue to host the top-rated Fred + Angi morning show on iHeartMedia’s 103.5 KISS FM in Chicago, joins host Simon Marcel on the nightly radio program featuring insightful love and relationship advice, coupled with radio station music playlists.
“I couldn’t be more excited to host The Rendezvous along with the French captain of Romance, Simon Marcel!” shared Taylor. “I’m so thankful for everyone at Premiere Networks for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. Hosting a syndicated show is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to share the love, romance, and FUN with a national audience!”
“I am so happy, proud and excited to welcome Angi Taylor as my new co-host of The Rendezvous,” added Simon Marcel. “I have always been a huge fan of Angi – she is so talented, real and fun. It is my honor to be the first to say, ‘Viva The Rendezvous with Simon and Angi!’ I’d like to thank the iHeartMedia and Premiere Networks team for their fabulous support from day one.”Taylor got her start in radio as an intern during her first semester in college. After six months, the Minneapolis native got her first job at a small station in St. Cloud, MN, hosting the midnight – 6 a.m. shift. She moved to weekends at KDWB in Minneapolis before joining Dave Ryan in the Morning as co-host in 1997. At 22-years old, Taylor was the youngest female to ever hold that position. She co-hosted mornings on Q102 Philly from 2002-2008, before joining KISS-FM in Chicago to co-host the morning show, and later, Brotha Fred’s Neighborhood in 2011. The program evolved into Fred + Angi in 2014. When she’s not on the radio, Taylor can be spotted hosting charity events and attending fundraisers for organizations like PAWS Chicago and the Alzheimer’s Association, or training for the 2017 Chicago Triathlon.
The Rendezvous debuted in June 2013 with Simon Marcel, and was launched into national syndication by Premiere Networks in 2014. Available between 7 p.m. and midnight, the nightly two-hour program can also be heard on iHeartRadio, iHeartMedia’ all-in-one streaming music and live digital radio service.
