Alpha Media Country 105.7 KYKX Longview/Tyler TX has appointed Brandon ‘Shotgun Jackson’ Young as Content Director.
Young has spent much of his career in the Salt Lake City market most recently as APD/Morning Host at Broadway Media Classic Hits “Rewind 100.7” KYMV and midday host at Country “101.5 The Eagle” KEGA. He has also programmed iHeartMedia’s “My Country 105.7” KTMY Salt Lake City, SanPete County Broadcasting Country “97.7 The Wolf” KWUT Elsinore UT, and Lehighton Broadcasting’s 97.1 KYCK Grand Forks ND.
Young fills the opening created by Phat’ Matt Ganssle’s death last year.
Alpha Media, East Texas names Brandon Young Content Director of KYKX-FM. Brandon will oversee the overall strategic, managerial, programming and content functions in the market.
Brandon started his career at age 12. He has worked for various stations around the country, including stations in Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Boise and Albuquerque. Brandon has a love for country music and used to sing all over the state of Utah with his band “Wild Country”.
