Scripps Country 98.5 KVOO Tulsa has tabbed 94.7 WQDR Raleigh morning co-host Marty ‘The One Man Party’ Young as its new morning host.
Young has been with WQDR since 2002 and part of the “Q Morning Crew” with Mike Wheless and Janie Carothers since 2006. At KVOO, he fills the opening created by Rowdy Yates’ exit last September alongside Sunny Leigh.
Mark Bolger has exited mornings at Townsquare Media Hot AC “Mix 97.7” WCZX Hyde Park/Poughkeepsie NY after seven years at the station. Bolger has been a staple in mornings in the Hudson Valley since 1987, first at CHR “K104” 104.7 WSPK and later 93.3 WBWZ before joining WCZX. With Bolger’s exit, co-host Taylor Dickson is now anchoring mornings solo.
iHeartMedia has appointed Lindsay Lazar as General Sales Manager for AC “93.9 Lite-FM” WLIT and Country “Big 95.5” WEBG Chicago. The 20 year Chicago sales veteran most recently served as Cluster Sales Manager for CBS Radio Chicago and has previously worked at Total Traffic and Weather Network and Premiere Networks.
iHeartMedia announced today that Lindsay Lazar has been named General Sales Manager for BIG 95.5, Chicago’s New Country, and 93.9 LITE FM, The Best Variety From the 80’s, 90’s and Now for Chicago, effective immediately. The iHeartMedia Chicago Region has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing six stations comprised of CHR, AC, Hip Hop and R&B, New Country and Contemporary Inspirational music formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As General Sales Manager, Lazar will be responsible for managing sales opportunities for BIG 95.5 and 93.9 LITE FM that deliver a strong return on investment for clients reaching consumers through iHeartMedia’s unmatched assets, including on-air, online, social media, personalities and live events. She will report to Adam Kurtz, Senior Vice President of Sales for iHeartMedia’s Chicago Region.

Lazar brings 20 years of broadcast sales experience to the iHeartMedia Chicago Region. She was most recently the Cluster Sales Manager at Entercom/CBS. Lazar has also held sales and account management positions at Total Traffic and Weather Network and Premiere Networks. She is a graduate of Indiana University’s Ernie Pyle School of Broadcasting in Bloomington.

The Peoria Journal-Star reports that Noah Sherwood joins Advanced Media Partners AAA 99.9 WWCT Bartonville/Peoria IL as Program Director/Morning Host. Sherwood joins AMP from Cumulus Media Peoria where he served as Assistant Operations Manager for Rhythmic CHR “Peoria’s 92.3” WZPW and Country “97.3 Nash-FM” WFYR.
