Alpha Media has appointed Ernie Martinez as National Director of Digital Content.
Martinez will be responsible for managing all of Alpha’s digital content creators and working with programmers to ensure the on-air and digital platforms are complementary while developing a national strategy, voice and aesthetic for each format.
Martinez is best known for his 20 year run at Radio Disney where he moved up the ranks from producer to on-air host under the name ‘Ernie D’ and then spending nearly a decade as Director of On-Air Programming for Radio Disney until exiting in February 2017. He most recently served as VP of Talent Partnerships at mitú.

Originally from Dallas, TX, Ernie began his career in radio at the age of 19. In 1997, he joined Radio Disney as a Producer and quickly worked his way up becoming Director, On-Air Programming. He relocated to Los Angeles in 2008 and mastered the art and importance of telling stories on digital platforms. After departing from Disney, Ernie quickly jumped into the digital content space as a VP, Talent Partnerships at mitú, a digital media company creating short and long form content for an American Latino audience.
