Samford University is selling its Jazz 91.1 WVSU-FM Birmingham AL to The Jazz Hall of Fame of Alabama for $50,000. The buyer, led by Bishop James Lowe has begun programming the station through a Programming Services Agreement. Samford will also receive up to 1200 minutes a year for ten years for marketing and event announcements and half of those minutes can be carried over into the next year. The buyer will change WVSU-FM’s call letters within six months of closing.
Federated Media’s Talking Stick Communications sells Sports “ESPN 106.7” WFGA Hicksville OH to Swick Broadcasting for $300,000. WFGA will join Swick’s five other stations in northeastern Indiana and northwest Ohio.
Divine Mercy Radio will purchase Spanish Christian 540 WETC Wendell-Zebulon/Raleigh NC from Sanchez Broadcasting Company for $850,000.
George Flinn sells News/Talk 1400 KNNR Sparks/Reno and 103.3 K277DL Washoe Valley NV to Fred Weinberg and Floyd Brown’s 1400 Investments for $100,000. KNNR already simulcasts the buyer’s 1230 KELY Ely.
Ted Austin’s Madison Radio Partners purchases 1230 KRXK Rexburg ID from Rich Broadcasting for the assumption of $150,000 of the $800,000 in debt owed by the seller to Pacific Empire Radio Corporation.
The Love Station buys Country “Kix 106.1” KIXO Sulphur OK from Sherry Austin’s DFWU Inc.
After having 96.5 KSQI Madras OR last July donated to them, Rouge Radio sells the station to OpenSkyRadio Corp. for $25,000.
After withdrawing the sale as first filed last year, Common Frequency Inc. has resubmitted its bid to sell Community “XRay FM” 91.1 KXRY Portland OR to Cascade Educational Broadcast Service for $16,000.

Smile FM acquires 100.3 W262AF Parchment/Kalamazoo MI from FCR Broadcasting for $30,000. W262AF will rebroadcast Smile FM’s 88.7 WSIS Riverside MI.
