Davis Media has flipped 1490 WXTG Hampton VA from a simulcast of AAA “102.1 The Tide” WXTG-FM Virginia Beach to a separately programmed AAA branded “101.9 Hampton-Newport News Radio“.
The flip comes with the debut of translator 101.9 W270DA Hampton which coves the southern end of the Virginia Peninsula just north of Norfolk including the two titled cities as well as Poquoson. The station is tied in with co-owned news site HNN Daily and features news content from the site.
