Mike Kerr Heads To WERZ Portsmouth As PD

Z107 107.1 WERZ PortsmouthiHeartMedia CHR “Z107” 107.1 WERZ Portsmouth NH has announced the addition of Mike ‘McCabe’ Kerr as Program Director and afternoon host starting Monday, September 10.

Kerr has served as Program Director and Morning Host at Saga Communications CHR “Z95.5” WFIZ Ithaca NY since January. He has also worked at Entercom CHR’s “98 PXY” WPXY Rochester and “Kiss 98.5” WKSE Buffalo and multiple stations in the Elmira market both on-air and in engineering.

He fills the opening created by Jadd Naamani’s move to “92.1 The Beat” KTBT Tulsa in July.

iHeartMedia announced today that Mike “McCabe” Kerr has been named Program Director for Top 40 Z107 WERZ Portsmouth, NH, effective September 10. McCabe will work with on-air personalities and sales to oversee music programming as well as broadcast and digital operations for Z107. Listeners will also hear McCabe on-air each weekday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 7p.m. on Z107. He will report to Tim Moore, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia New Hampshire.

McCabe joins the New Hampshire market from Saga Communications, where he most recently served as the Program Director and Morning Personality Host for Z95.5. He also served as the On-Air Personality for Entercom’s WPXY-FM, WKSE-FM and several stations in the Elmira, New York region. He began his career at Backyard Broadcasting in Elmira, New York.
