Positioned as “The 90s & Now”, WDQN will feature the local “Dave Juhl and the Sunrise Service” in mornings and syndicated hosts the remainder of the day including Uncovered with Dr. Laura Berman in evenings.
Original Report 10/19: Coinciding with the launch of their translator on 97.1, Du Quoin Broadcasting Company’s 1580 WDQN Du Quoin IL has started the annual Christmas music run.
WDQN, which carried a full-service Hot AC format, is now branding itself as “Christmas 97.1” following the 10:000am launch of 97.1 W246DU Du Quoin. The translator also serves the purpose of restoring commercial FM service to Du Quoin and Franklin County IL for the first time since 95.9 WDQN-FM was sold to Three Angels Broadcasting Network in 2003. The launch follows a week of teasers about “spreading joy”.
