Mike Rivera will now have two iHeartMedia Country stations to program.
Rivera, who was named Program Director of 96.3 KHEY El Paso TX earlier this month will also add those duties at “Big I 107.9” KBQI Albuquerque NM. Rivera previously served as Program Coordinator for Sports “1300 The Zone” KVET Austin TX and will host afternoons at both stations.
He succeeds Bev Rainey at KBQI, who had been with the station since its launch in 2000 and served as PD since 2008.

Summit Media has placed 104.7 WZZK Birmingham AL midday host Dana Lundon on a third station. Lundon, who already voicetracks middays on “Q103.1” WQNU Louisville, will add that role on “Q100.3” WCYQ Knoxville TN. Former midday host Paul Orr moves to nights at WCYQ.
Salem Media Group has announced that Atlanta VP/General Manager Mike Moran will retire at the end of July. Moran also serves as Regional VP overseeing Cleveland, Miami, Orlando and Tampa.
Current Greenville/Spartanburg SC GM Val Carolin will move to Atlanta to fill Moran’s position while taking over the regional oversight of her former market and the three Florida clusters.
Salem Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SALM), today announced that Atlanta VP/General Manager Mike Moran is retiring effective the end of July. In addition to his role in Atlanta, Mike serves as a Regional VP for the company’s Cleveland, OH; Miami, FL; Orlando, FL; and Tampa, FL markets. In light of Mike’s retirement, Salem Media is appointing Val Carolin as GM in Atlanta and as RVP, overseeing Salem’s stations in Greenville, SC; Orlando, FL; Miami, FL; and Tampa, FL. Val currently serves as General Manager of Salem’s Greenville-Spartanburg, SC cluster, and spent many years in leadership roles in Atlanta radio prior to that position. Recruitment is underway for Val’s replacement in Greenville.
Mike’s media career began in 1978 at Kenyon and Eckhart Advertising in Detroit, and included fifteen years in sales and management for KATZ Radio (Detroit, Houston, Atlanta, New York). He joined Salem Media Group in 2004 and was promoted to the RVP role in 2010.

Audience Development Group has announced that Kevin Robinson has returned to the consultancy.
Robinson, who previously programmed WARH and KYKY St. Louis, WJMK and WZFS Chicago, WBUF Buffalo, and served as Hot AC Vice President for CBS Radio, worked at Audience Development Group from 2006 through 2008. He will be based in Indianapolis.
