Last week we presented a classified ad for a new team member to join iHeartMedia Alternative “94.5 The Buzz” KTBZ Houston’s Rod Ryan Show. Now we know the purpose of the ad as Dinah Powers has announced she will exit the show at the end of August to complete her college education.
Powers joined KTBZ in May 2012 after previously serving as a producer and co-host for The Cowhead Show at “102.5 The Bone” WHPT Tampa.
Mike ‘Squeegee’ Creel has departed from middays and as Music Coordinator at Crowmell Rock “102.9 The Buzz” WBUZ La Vergne/Nashville. Creel joined WBUZ in 2014 after a long run in the market at 103.3 WKDF, 104.5 WGFX and 105.9 WNRQ. With Creel’s exit, Program Director Zigz moves from 3-6pm to 10am-3pm, Hayley St. John from 6-10pm to 3-7pm, and Eric Steele from 10pm-12am to 7pm-12am.
Connoisseur Media News/Talk 600 WICC Bridgeport CT has announced the addition of Lisa Wexler to host a local show from 10am to 12pm. Wexler joins WICC from afternoons at 1490 WGCH Greenwich and replaces Fox News Radio’s Brian Kilmeade Show. Wexler had been with WGCH since 2015 after previously working at Cumulus Media’s 1230 WFAS White Plains NY.
First Media Radio Roanoke Rapids General Manager Craig Hahn has joined Townsquare Media as Market President of its Sedalia MO cluster. Hahn joined First Media in April, but the cluster was sold to Byrne Acquisition Group earlier this month. Hahn has spent much of his career in digital radio management with duties including Director of Local Interactive Sales for Citadel and VP/Sales Development for Cox.
Townsquare Media Inc. announced today that Craig Hahn has joined the Company as Market President and Chief Revenue Officer for its Sedalia, MO local media cluster.
Mr. Hahn will lead the local media team in Sedalia which includes Country KIX 105.7 (KXKX-FM), Sedalia’s Greatest Hits, Awesome 92.3 (KSDL-FM), and News-Talk KSIS 1050-AM. He will report to Townsquare Regional Vice President Kelly Quinn.

Meruelo Media has appointed Mariano Amador as General Sales Manager for Spanish CHR “Cali 93.9” KLLI Los Angeles. Amador joins Meruelo from the GSM position at Liberman Broadcasting Los Angeles and has previously worked for Univision in New York and Los Angeles.

Regional Media has announced the return of Darren Brown as Local Sales Manager for its Quad Cities and Sterling IL operations. Brown previously worked for the company until 2012 when he opening a Country Financial agency office. He also served as Director of Operations and Assistant General Manager of the Quad Cities Steamwheelers arena football team.
Regional Media, parent company of radio stations and multimedia news and sports websites in Iowa, Illinois, and Hawaii, announced today that it has chosen former Country Financial agency owner Darren Brown as the organization’s Local Sales Manager for the Quad Cities and Sterling Illinois offices including, Big Country 102.7 WZZT, Q105.5 WSSQ, WSDR 1490-93.1, Jack FM 93.9, and SaukValleyNow.com. Mr. Brown, will step into the role reporting directly to the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) Rick Feltner this next week.
Darren is not foreign to Regional Media’s culture being part of the team for three years back in 2012. Mr. Brown spent seven years with the Quad City Steamwheelers arena football team as their Director of Operations and Assistant General Manager where he first met Regional Media President and CEO Fletcher M.
