Cumulus Media Country “Kissin 92.3” KIZN Boise has appointed Chris Matthews as Program Director and Morning co-Host.
Matthews most recently served as PD/afternoon host for iHeartMedia’s “92.5 The Bull” KBEB Sacramento until its flip to Soft AC last year. He has was APD/MD/morning host at 107.9 KMLE Phoenix, Director of Marketing and Promotions for Cumulus Tucson, and worked in Boise at “104.3 Wow Country” KAWO.
Matthews will be joined in mornings by current KIZN midday host Alana Lynn. Lynn joined KIZN in April, also worked at KMLE and KAWO with Matthews.
Matthews fills the openings created by the exits of Program Director Hank Aaron and morning show hosts Cory Mikhals and Shawnda McNeal last month.

A 17-year radio broadcasting professional, Matthews was previously Program Director and Afternoon Drive Host for iHeartMedia station KBEB-FM in Sacramento, CA. Prior to that, he was Morning Host for Entercom/CBS Radio’s KMLE-FM in Phoenix, AZ, and was Director of Marketing and Promotion for CUMULUS MEDIA in Tucson, AZ.
