After acquiring the four station cluster of Paul Coates and Mike Huckabee’s East Texas Results Media earlier this year, Educational Radio Foundation of East Texas will debut two new simulcasts in January 2020 on the currently silent cluster.
102.3 KLJT Jacksonville and 103.1 KMPA Pittsburg will become Spanish Christian “Fuzión“. 94.3 KZXM Bullard and 95.3 KFRO-FM Gilmer will feature a Christian Preaching format as “The Well“. The two new non-commercial formats will join the group’s pair of Christian ACs: 89.5 KVNE Tyler and 91.3 KGLY Tyler.
In explaining why they chose the new Spanish format for KLJT/KMPA, ERFET President Troy Kriechbaum told the Tyler Morning Telegraph, “There is no Hispanic Christian music radio station for all of East Texas. We want to reach people for Jesus in their heart language.”
