After its Christmas Music stunting gave way at midnight to a loop of U2 “New Years Day” and Celtic Woman “Auld Lang Syne”, Magic Valley Media flipped 94.5 KSKI-FM Sun Valley ID to Alternative.
The station continues to brand with the “94.5 K-SKI” moniker it utilized during its previous AAA incarnation and during the Christmas music run. Positioning as “Southern Idaho’s Alternative”, the station launched with Panic At The Disco’s “High Hopes”, Lumineers “Gloria” and Marcy Playground “Sex And Candy”. The station serves the Sun Valley resort area and rimshots into Twin Falls.
Original Report 11/6: Following a restructured Rich Broadcasting’s Magic Valley Media reacquiring its Sun Valley ID cluster out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year, the company has begun making changes.
AAA 94.5 KSKI dropped its format on November 1 and began stunting as “Sun Valley’s Official Christmas Music Station”. Accompanying the move was the elimination of the station’s web and social media platforms. Cluster OM and KSKI Program Director/morning host Jamie Canfield exited in late September.
