Following his one-year anniversary in afternoons at Beasley Classic Hip-Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC Detroit, Jonathan ‘J Steele’ has been promoted to Assistant Program Director.

Steele will report to Operations Manager Jerry ‘JT’ Tarrants, who is currently overseeing WMGC and Adult R&B “105.9 Kiss-FM” WDMK since the March departure of John Candelaria. Tarrants also programs Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX and Rock 101.1 WRIF for Beasley Detroit.

Steele joined WMGC in April 2019 from the Program Director role at Martz Communications’ Hip Hop “WAMO 100” WAMO Pittsburgh. He has also programmed WPIA Peoria and WYUL Chateaugay NY/Montreal.

Steele, who officially joined the station in April 2019, can be heard on 105.1 The BOUNCE every weekday from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. He will begin his new additional duties immediately.
