Sammy Simpson will join Capitol Broadcasting as Brand/Content Manager for their Raleigh NC properties on September 8.
Simpson programmed Bonneville Modern AC “Z104” WWZZ Washington DC from 2004-2006. He served as VP/East Coast Marketing for Entertainment Partners and VP/Marketing for the New York Daily News. The North Carolina native also served as OM/PD of “K92” WXLK-FM Roanoke and has worked on-air at stations including WMXF Fayetteville and WKSI Greensboro. Simpson also served as National Director of Promotions for Bonneville, Director of Marketing & Advertising for “Z100” WHTZ New York and “100.3 The Sound” KSWD Los Angeles and Director of Integrated Marketing for CBS Radio New York.
Simpson will oversee programming for AC “Mix 101.5” WRAL-FM, AAA “95.7 That Station” 1550 WCLY/95.7 W239CK and the Sports trio of “99.9 The Fan” WCMC-FM, “96.5/99.3 The Buzz” 96.5 W243DK/99.3 W257CS and “620 The Ticket” WDNC.
At WRAL-FM Simposon succeeds Michelle Williams who exited last month. At the sports properties, he replaces Dennis Glasgow who departed in June.
