John and Greg Douglas and James Su’s Radio Boston Broadcasting is selling Silent 1090 WILD Boston to regional Christian operator Blount Masscom for $80,000. An LMA will commence upon the station finalizing an STA for a new transmitter site, which must happen by November 3. The sellers, which previously aired programming from China Radio International on WILD, purchased the AM daytimer in 2016 from Radio One for $888,326.16. Blount operates stations across New England under the “Life Changing Radio” brand.
Nine years after Peggy Warner sold Classic Country 105.5 WBMI West Branch MI to CF Broadcasting, she will regain the station from the company’s court ordered trustee. Charles Cobb and Mike Fleming purchased the station in 2011 for $360,000 but later defaulted on payments leading to Warner place a lien on Fleming’s farm. The settlement will clear all legal issues between the two parties.
