Q Media Properties has debuted two new formats in East Central Minnesota.
95.5 KBEK Mora, which the company began leasing last month ahead of an upcoming sale, has flipped from Full Service AAA to AC as “Nice 95.5“. The station is described as “Local news, weather, and sports paired with the best music from the 80’s, 90’s and today!”
Concurrently, “Classic Hits 106.5” 1350 WCMP/106.5 W293DA Pine City flipped to Classic Country “Anthem Country”. WCMP/W293DA is positioning as “Classic Country With an Attitude”.
No changes took place at “Cool Country 100.9” WCMP-FM Pine City.

KBEK’s new format seems to be really playing up its Minnesota-ness: Not only is the branding presumably a play on “Minnesota nice”, but the logo’s color scheme is very likely a reference to the Golden Gophers.
